About us
What we do
REI runs a scholarship program that currently supports 50 girls in upper primary and lower secondary education. On an annual basis, the organization provides scholastic materials, school uniforms, tuition, Family Health Insurance and other school needs to all the sponsored girls.
We have mentors that are actively engaged in supporting at least 2 girls weekly at community level. We couple each girl with a young woman mentor who helps her experience personal growth and development, encouraging being a better version of herself, and having a great time along the way.
What we have achieved
Our Impact
We have managed to keep 50 girls in school with regular attendance even when Schools were closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Installation of the borehole in Murama Village, that provides clean water to approximately 10,000 people. This vital resource has improved public health by reducing waterborne diseases, alleviated the burden of fetching water from distant sources, and empowered women and children, who are traditionally responsible for water collection, to focus on education and other productive activities.
In September 2020, we launched a tailoring and sewing center aimed at equipping school dropout adolescent girls and teen mothers with valuable skills. Our goal is to financially empower them, enabling them to support their families and children, fostering independence and economic stability.
